AEA strengthens Air and Environmental Quality service with UKAS accreditation

AEA’s Air and Environmental Quality team has achieved accreditation by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) to ISO/IEC 17025 for olfactometry analysis to BS EN 13725; building on 30 years’ experience helping clients and regulators successfully deal with odour issues.

AEA provides odour sampling and olfactometry management services to support agriculture, process and waste industries and regulators. The new UKAS accreditation demonstrates the confidence that can be placed in the sampling and accredited olfactometry testing undertaken. It strengthens the company’s already comprehensive environmental and energy consultancy services.

Principal Consultant Nigel Gibson, AEA’s Olfactometry Service Manager, commented: “AEA’s commitment to quality is encompassed in gaining this accreditation with UKAS. We’re delighted to receive this accreditation, which will provide confidence to our public and private sector clients in the quality of information they will receive from our odour laboratory.”

Geoff Dollard, AEA’s Air and Environmental Quality Practice Director added: “Using AEA’s olfactometry service will satisfy the Environment Agency’s recommended use of a UKAS accredited test house. Gaining accreditation is as a key component in our ability to offer our clients comprehensive environmental consultancy services.”
