AEA’s North American operation awarded $6 million contract from Environmental Protection Agency
ERG, part of the AEA Group, has been awarded a 5 year, $6.2 million contract from the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to provide technical support and program management services to its Office of Compliance.
The new contract will support the Office of Compliance in evaluating compliance of the regulated community with environmental regulations, covering all regulated sectors and all U.S. environmental statutes.
This includes:
- compliance monitoring and assessments at a sector level and a facility level;
- compliance assistance;
- communications and outreach to the regulated community, regulators, and the public;
- information technology and data management;
- training; and
- targeting of future investigations and enforcement activities.
This contract will draw on ERG's ability to provide all of these services in-house and provides opportunities for AEA's other U.S. operations: PPC is a key team member in the data management and information infrastructure components of this contract.
In addition, the Office of Compliance can tap AEA's extensive experience in cooperative programs to enhance environment performance in the U.K. and the European community.
